In Memory of Luke S. Bashore
Luke Bashore was a rising senior majoring in mass communication and sociology when his life was cut short. An avid sports fan, Luke loved his LSU Tigers. Luke often said he was "living the dream," especially when he attended the 2008 BCS National Championship Game, where the LSU football team won the national championship. Luke is remembered as one who had a zest for living life to the fullest.
His parents, Randy and Gail, want to make sure that out-of-state mass communication students like Luke get to live their dream at LSU. They have created the Luke S. Bashore Memorial Scholarship, a four-year scholarship for out-of-state students interested in broadcast journalism, new media communication, visual communication or other electronic media, as well as the Luke S. Bashore Traveling Scholar Award.
The LSU Foundation will share notices about memorial gifts with Luke's family. We do not share the gift amount unless a donor explicitly gives us permission to do so.
