In Memory of Larry Heimendinger

Larry passed away in September 2023. We are deeply grateful for his generous service and passion for LSU.

Larry M. Heimendinger of Redmond, Wash., was an alumnus of LSU, where he received a bachelor’s degree in physics in 1967. Heimendinger served as president and COO of Nantucket Corp.—the developer and publisher of “Clipper,” a dBase complier and application development system. He was Chairman of the Board and acting CEO of General Kinetics, Inc., a defense manufacturing company, and launched several small businesses and wrote several books. Heimendinger was a member of the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business Dean’s Advisory Council and the LSU Foundation National Board.
