In Memory of William “Bill” Edelmann
William “Bill” Edelmann was born on July 8, 1961 in New Jersey to Julius J. Edelmann and Mary Lou Edelmann. The middle of three children, Billy was every bit the jokester. His love for Louisiana started when his family relocated there in his early years. After high school, Bill followed that love straight to Louisiana State University (LSU), where he received a walk-on football scholarship to play for the greatest team. His favorite movie was Rudy, a story to which he felt a deep connection given his incredible experience at LSU.
After starting a family in New Jersey, Bill eventually found his way back to LSU to pursue a Masters of Business Administration. He graduated from LSU for the second time in 2006 with his MBA. He was overwhelmed with pride as he took his daughters for a tour of the LSU campus in between MBA classes – showing them the stadium, Mike the Tiger’s residence, the Dairy Store for ice cream, and everything in between. Bill truly bled purple and gold.
Bill is survived by his daughters: Nicole Wisniewski (Pete), Alyssa Lambert (Mike), and Annabelle Edelmann (Kenny); his grandsons: George, Mason, and Logan; his sister, Elizabeth (Gerry); his brother, JJ (Shannon); the mother of his children, Ida; and a host of family and friends who he loved dearly.
